About

Australian Lutheran College (ALC) is a higher education institution serving the Lutheran Church of Australia. It was established in 1968 as a registered teaching institution of the University of Divinity. The college is located in North Adelaide, South Australia and has three academic schools which include the School of Pastoral Theology (SPT), the School of Educational Theology (SET), and the School of Theological Studies (STS).

The School of Pastoral Theology is dedicated to training pastors for work in the Lutheran Church of Australia. Here, students undergo a five-year double degree in Bachelor of Theology and Bachelor of Ministry where they are taught in a number of different fields, such as history, theology, biblical studies, theology, and pastoral theology. On the other hand, the School of Educational Theology focuses on the training of teachers for service in Lutheran schools, while the School of Theological Studies provides theological training for students who are not studying for the ordained ministry. STS provides online learning for long distance students and has a range of on-campus subjects.
