When I’m in the city library, I’m surrounded by books, old and new, modern and traditional, on a variety of fascinating topics. Some of these are reference books that greatly help with my exam preparation. So I usually browse through these books to enhance my knowledge on the topics I am preparing for.

Studying in the same place all the time can not only feel extremely repetitive but also lead to exhaustion and burnout. This is why I often like to step out and study in the outdoors. Studying in the same place all the time can get quite boring and monotonous. This is why I like to get out of the house and visit the outdoors to refresh myself with a change of scenery. I enjoy going to this diner to study from time to time because it has a warm, welcoming atmosphere that helps me study in comfort. The diner serves delicious burgers and other snacks that I can munch on while studying. The family that owns this eatery treats me like their own which helps me settle into the place better and study with maximum focus.

I usually visit the diner on weekdays, when it is a bit less crowded. This provides me with the peace and quiet I need to study. I have found that the best time to study there is around early evening on weekdays when I have come home from college and the diner is almost empty.

• What do you usually learn about there?

I usually study almost all my subjects when I visit the diner. But I mostly solve math problems and other questions assigned as homework. Solving problems in the cozy atmosphere of the diner while snacking on tasty food is one of my favourite midweek activities.

Q3. Do you think crowded public places like cafes and parks can be good for studying?

Ans: Public places tend to get crowded very often, and so they may not be everyone’s cup of tea when it comes to studying. But over time, I have realized I don’t have a problem with working in cafes or parks since I can tune out the noise of the crowds till they become a distant hum in the background. In fact, this white noise helps me focus on my work better.
