@Farazali There's nothing to justify for branch change to CS. It's pretty common and the conditions are listed on most of the universities CS department website and such students would have to do some prerequisite courses of undergraduate CS which would not be part of Master's and cost extra. Courses done on Udemy, Coursera are not accepted for prerequisite. It's only difficult to do branch change in top universities like UCLA and Berkley.

Why don't you try for industrial Engineering  with operations research as the specialization. You have the flexibility to pursue ML courses and DS courses in that and in the long term can shift to pure ML field.

Actually I wanted to do ms in Machine Learning or artificial intelligence. I got rejected from northeastern which I think is only bcoz of mechanical background. What other universities could you suggest which either have a track in their Cs program.
