About:

International students who are not eligible to complete the FAFSA and are not classified as Texas residents may apply for a Texas Public Education Grant (TPEG). Applications for the TPEG are available in the UTA Office of Financial Aid during the month of June each year. The deadline for submission is June 28th. Offers are typically made in mid-September and range anywhere from $1,000-$1,500 (based on funding levels).

These grants are designated to pay tuition and fees and are available to both graduate and undergraduate students with demonstrated financial need. At least half-time enrollment is required to qualify for a disbursement, and undergraduate grants prorate based on enrollment.

Undergraduate Students: 24 credit hours at UTA and a 2.0 cumulative GPA
Graduate Students: 18 credit hours at UTA and a 3.0 cumulative GPA
