Mahatma Gandhi Memorial of North Texas Scholarship

About: 

The Mahatma Gandhi Scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, enroll as a full-time student, have a minimum cumulative 3.3 GPA, and at least two semesters remaining prior to graduation. Recipient must be enrolled full-time at UT Dallas at time of award.

Scholarship Requirements: 

Among equally qualified applicants, a preference may be given to applicants who have lived in, matriculated from, or are dependents of individuals from India, or have some other connection to India through their family or work. The recipient is encouraged to volunteer with the UT Dallas Indian Students' Association. A minimum award of $1,000 per year may be given and cannot be combined with any other forms of financial aid. The award of this scholarship does not alter the residence status of the recipient in so far as tuition charges are concerned. This scholarship will be awarded by a committee duly appointed by the president of UT Dallas.
