Barnard’s financial aid program supports the College's institutional priorities of access, quality, and diversity. Students who are not US citizens or US permanent residents are considered international applicants for financial aid purposes. Barnard College is able to award a small number of need-based scholarships for international students in each first-year entering class. Barnard is unable to assist international transfer students. Please review this page for information on our financial aid process for international applicants.
- Foreign income documentation (translated into U.S. dollars) from two years ago (i.e. 2018 applicants will submit documents from the 2016 tax year)
- Examples of foreign income documentation are: 1) the country's tax return or 2) signed statement from your parents' employer(s) on the company's letterhead indicating annual wages, bonuses, and benefits.
- Full demonstrated need.
