Hi Raj 
unless you Have Work Experience for more than 2 years , going for an one year course is going to be hard as you won't find time to apply for internships , So a 2 year one would be better and Uni of Houston is decent college and Defering won't make much of a difference and Houston is in texas and texas has good job opportunities.
