Hi sir, How would be 1 year ms programs in terms of job opportunities in usa  in the stream of computer science? Will there be any drawbacks if we do only 1 year ms programs?

1 year MS:

pros:

you get to finish it in just 1 year.

cons:
heavy workload
cannot make as many connections as you can make from a 2 year MS
No internship. You need to complete atleast 18 credits for doing internship(under cpt)

2 year MS:
pros:
you get to study at a reasonable pace.
you can do summer internship.(if you join in fall)
You get to attend twice the number of career fairs.
you get more time to study for interviews.

cons:
You might have to wait longer if you want to get into industry compared to 1 year MS.

It does not affect the H1-B visa or job opportunities in any way. Irrespective of the program you take, you need to have a employer who is willing to sponsor for you H1B visa after you graduate.
