summer 2027
8 hours agoHi, I wanted to clarify one important point regarding my applications to the Finance
There is a university/programme where 20 weeks of relevant internship experience is required, and I believe the programme is an MSc in Finance. There is also the MSc Finance/Quantitative Finance programme at Kiel that we are considering.
I discussed my profile with the consultancy, and they suggested that I should not mention my actual four years of teaching experience, as they believe it might negatively affect my application or lead to rejection because my work experience is not directly related to Finance.
Instead, they suggested showing that after graduating in November 2020, I worked from November 2020 to July 2024 as a Financial Analyst at a company/firm, and then showing that I pursued my M.Com from 2024 to 2026. After that, the timeline would continue with my dMAT and APS process for Germany.
I want to handle this correctly and professionally. I do not want to provide any inaccurate or misleading information in my application.
Could you please properly verify the admission requirements of the relevant universities and programmes and let me know:
1. Whether my actual teaching experience can negatively affect my admission chances.
2. Whether the 20-week internship requirement is mandatory or whether there is an alternative pathway.
3. Whether my existing genuine Finance-related internship/projects can satisfy any part of this requirement.
4. Whether I should disclose my actual teaching experience and explain my transition into Finance, or whether there is a legitimate way to present my profile differently.
5. Whether there are any changes you recommend in my CV/application timeline.
Please verify this carefully with the official university requirements before advising me, because I want my application to be completely accurate and professionally presented.
