VO: Thank you. Give me your I20 (passed), Why this University?
ME: I choose it because of flexibility of choosing courses and curricullum of specialisation in energy systems (interrupted)
VO: How many universities have you applied?
ME: 9.
VO: How many you got into?
ME: 4.
VO: Which are those?
ME: SUNY Binghamton, UNCC, CSM and SUNY Buffalo.
VO: So was it a tough decision?
ME: No, as Buffalo was my first choice.
VO : When did you graduate?
ME: I graduated in May 2015.
VO: So, What have you been doing since then?
ME: I have been working with XXX LTD.
VO: How are you going to fund your education?
ME: My father and sister are going to sponsor me and I have taken educational loan of Rs 25 lacs.
VO: What does your father do?
ME: He is employee of Govt. of India working for Ministry of Info & Broadcasting.
VO: What is his designation and income?
ME: He is cleark and has salary of RS.45000.
VO: What about your sister?
ME: She is telecom engineer working for XXX Ltd.
VO: And her salary?
ME: Rs.40,000.
VO: How long do you have to repay your loan? (Did not hear her correctly)
ME: I want to work in R&D sector of Power Industry..(interrupted)
VO: I asked How long do you have to repay your loan?
ME: 9 years after graduation.
VO: I see you can repay your loan but I am still not convinced that you can afford your second year expenses?
ME: Ma'am My father & sister together have savings of 7 lacs in their banks and 3 lacs in PF account.
VO: Still it is not enough. It is 2 year program written in I20.
VO: (then she started typing and in between asked) What is your GRE score?
ME: I got 300 in GRE.
VO: (After long typing returned my docs)sorry sir, i can not approve your visa. Thank You.
ME: Okay.
