Transportation in the city

The public transportation system in Kirksville, Missouri include:

  • Kirk-Tran: It is operated by OATS Transit, a statewide public transportation provider, offering a demand-response system and a deviated fixed route. The demand-response system allows riders to schedule a ride in advance by calling the dispatch centre. The deviated fixed route travels within a 15-mile radius of downtown Kirksville and stops at predetermined locations. 

The fare for a one-way trip on Kirk-Tran is $3 within city limits and $4 outside city limits. Children under 5 years old ride free. Kirk-Tran operates Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
