College for Creative Studies(also known as CCS) is a private Art School in Detroit, Michigan. CCS is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design and the Higher Learning Commission.

The College for Creative Studies offers Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in 13 majors and a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree. Advertising design, art practice, communication design, crafts & material studies, entertainment arts, fashion design, illustration, interdisciplinary art + design, interior design, photography, product design, and transportation design are among the majors in which students can pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts.

Each department combines academic and studio sessions with more specialized training to highlight the four key elements of a visual arts education: technical aptitude, aesthetic sensitivity, conceptual ability, and practical experience.

Transportation in the city

The Cambridge International College does not provide transportation services. However, the campuses are connected with public means of transport. The students popularly travel by bus and can reach the campus within a period.

Services offered by the university

  • CCS has a variety of classrooms ranging from huge lecture halls to smaller tutorial rooms, as well as computer labs and other learning support services, making it perfect for students looking to get the most out of their studies.
  • Over 200,000 artefacts, including books, journals, DVDs, and sound recordings, are housed in the CCS Annie Gabriel Library. Additionally, the Library provides access to online encyclopaedias, scholarly journal articles, and e-books.
  • The college provides its students with online access to academic publications, full-text articles, e-books, video courses, and other resources.
  • Furthermore, the campus has modern classrooms, library resources, student recreational areas, culinary facilities, and computer labs with free internet access.

Student life at College for Creative Studies

The College for Creative Studies campus has two buildings. The two parts of the CCS campus are the Walter and Josephine Ford Campus and the A. Alfred Taubman Center for Design Education. They are both just one mile apart and connected by a campus shuttle.

CSS campuses are conveniently located within an hour's drive of London, making them a great setting for networking and professional development. 

  • The College for Creative Studies routinely organizes extracurricular activities outside class, allowing students to see some of California's most beautiful locations.

CCS provides on-campus accommodation. Before submitting a housing application, incoming students must pay the $250 enrollment deposit.

  • CCS campus has two residential campuses, one for fresh students and another for upper-class students.
  • First-year students Living Areas include Smith Hall, Simmons Hall, The Cottages, The Village, and Tower Hall.
