UNSW entry requirement?

Question

I am a CBSE student in grade 12 and I am applying to universities in the UK and Australia. According to UNSW's enquiry team, the entry requirements are as follows :  
    
""The minimum CBSE score to be competitive for entry was 14.5. For the CBSE, this is the overall grade in best four externally examined subjects where A1=5, A2=4.5, B1=3.5, B2=3, C1=2, C2=1.5, D1=1, D2=0.5. Students also need to provide CBSE Admit Card.""  
    
Are the requirements really this low? For UK universities, I need 85-90, whereas for UNSW, three "B3" and one "A1" are sufficient. Is this correct?

Hey Rajveer! Is there any particular reason why the requirements are so low? I know for a fact that international students are the main income of AUS unis but still, UNSW ranks fairly high in QS and its kind of hard to digest the fact that it doesn’t need much grades for entry.
