Should I go for UTA this Fall or apply for UMass, Stony brook for Spring 2023?

Hi,

For spring to get into UMass and Stony you will need a strong profile. The batch strength of Spring batches are usually very less.

Fall has plenty of advantages compared to Spring. Hence, you should consider going this fall.

Coursework and major is of utmost importance here. Check if you can take electives related to your domain of interest to fulfill your goals and see if UTA allows you to do that.

UTA is a good school for CS. Cheap tuition and living expenses. Plenty of opportunities for on campus jobs in the form of part time and assistantships. Alumni network is also good. You have Dallas and Austin as tech locations.

You will want to consider return on investment as your priority and UTA does provide you a better overall experience, academics and living expenses is also cheap.

UTA is a really good university and there are multiple benefits of joining the program in fall as compared to spring. 
There are multiple opportunities in terms of internships, on campus jobs, etc. Weather is also a considerable criteria in this case.
Students who join in fall often have an edge over students who join in spring.
