Passport validity query for visa process

On the visa requirements page, i came accross this statement: "Visitors traveling to the U.S. are required to be in possession of passports that are valid for six months beyond the period of their intended stay in the U.S." My passport is expiring on 10th March 2024 and course 2 year long. Can you please let me know if it's alright to proceed with the visa process? Or passport renewal is required? The catch here is, I'm not able to request for passport renewal as the passport seva portal is allowing only if passport is expiring within a year.
