Hi,
New York Institute of Technology is a private institution ranking in the 2022 edition of Best Colleges is Regional Universities North at #34 according to US News. It has two campuses in New York and three campuses in Abu Dhabi, Nanjing, Vancouver. In New York, the school has a location in Manhattan and another on Long Island, known as the Old Westbury campus. Some majors are offered at both New York campuses; others are specific to Manhattan or Old Westbury. NYIT admissions is selective with an acceptance rate of 75%. NYIT has solid programs. Most notably are the graduate medical programs and other good master's programs such as the MFA programs. There are plenty of research opportunities and a good alumni network to boot.

A reviewer on Quora said, "There are no dorms on any of the NYIT campuses, and so the majority of students commute, whereas the remaining students can dorm off campus nearby. This is a major gripe with most students who attend the university, as that community life is very much desired. There are a small number of clubs during the common hour, Greek life is minute, and typical huge college parties are practically non-existent. This is in part of many students on campus being graduate students with little to no interest in these embellishments and the commuter heavy atmosphere."
