Do Know that MIS is being taught by business schools in Most cases and MEM is an Engineering Degree.
Business degrees tend to cost more than engineering one's.
If you want to focus completely on Tech then MIS would be better if you like the coursework as it varies from college to college.
MEM would be a better option if you want to dwelve into Operation jobs.

Here it's not about the course name BUT the Coursework is what matters. in colleges like Duke ,Dartmouth, USC you can take up subjects from business, Law schools along with your engineering classes but it's not same on the MIS Side.

So to take a better decision look into the coursework of the colleges You aim for .

MIS is for those looking to become IT Managers, working with DBMS with some defined subjects. MEM is blend of both Engineering and Management aspects. In some universities, MEM has more management subjects. Some offer flexibility to choose electives from various fields of Engineering.
