I need help in understanding the impact of backlogs and year down in BE on my masters applications.

I need help in understanding the impact of backlogs and year down in BE on my masters applications. I have a gre score of 325(167 quant and 159 verbal) and first class with distinction in my BE . But I had to repeat my 6th semester due to 4 backlogs because of health reasons and took a year gap . Currently working as a back end developer ( 1 year work exp) . How much do backlogs affect and is there a possibility to get into the top universities . Also do I explicitly mention my year gap in my SOP ? Any help would be appreciated!
