CS vs CIS

Question

What is difference between Computer science and Computer and Information systems.Which one is more demanding in terms of admission and also getting a full time job

The largest difference is science and math principles focus in CS, while CIS focuses on the systems themselves. If you think of it in levels of abstractions, then you picture all systems made up of code and hardware. CS focuses on the details to make that code and hardware function at a detailed level, while CIS is focused on bringing different applications and tools together to form a whole system.

CIS is often the team developing the databases for the multiple systems, but CS degreed employees can work at a System level as well.

If you like coding or solving detailed algorithms, then CS is a great path. If you like fixing large integrated problems around Information Systems for an organization, then CIS would be better.

I am interested in coding and good at math but from ECE domain and my current working domain also doesnt contain coding.I want to study Computer science and particulary towards design or developing side.What should I learn to fulfil before getting into MS CS
