Can anyone help evaluate my (somewhat) strange profile and finalize universities?
I want to do MS in Computer Science from USA.
--------------------------
GRE - 332 (Q170, V162, AWA-4)
TOEFL - 111
Undergrad - B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering from NIT-Bhopal (MANIT)
CGPA - 8.2/10
Research Papers - None
Work Experience - 11 years in BHEL (a PSU under Govt. of India) primarily pertaining to System Engineering of Power Plants (mainly electrical project engineering but I managed to develop some softwares on the job as well)
Secondary Work Experience - Besides BHEL, I have been moonlighting for arouind 6 years as freelance software developer. Everything from small automation scripts to large web applications deployed on clusters and handling large volumes of traffic and data with pretty impressive uptime.
SOP - moderate
LOR - 1 from a client in UK (strong), 2 from my seniors at BHEL (1 strong, 1 moderate)
Extracurricular - State and National Level Cricket Player
Social Work - associated with a NGO working primarily in the villages around my city.
----------------------------
So in a nutshell, I did my undergrad in ECE with 8.2 CGPA, then working in BHEL in various Systems Engineering Roles for Thermal Power Plants for 11 years alnd parallely moonlighting as freelancer for 6 years. And since I have always been passionate about programming, I wish to do a MS in Computer Science. Also consider that I dont have any research experience to show in my application.
