Autonomous and Affliated collage average CGPA difference.

Do universities look for whether the candidate is from a Affliated or an Autonomous institute.

Because generally in most of the cases(*not all) the average CGPA of autonomous collage students are on the higher side.
While students from Affliated collages have low CGPA as compared to autonomous folks.

So is there any advantage or disadvantage in such scenarios.

* I have seen such trend in Collages from Telangana (JNTUH), can't comment of others.
