  • Harry Connick Jr. is a Grammy Award-winning jazz singer, pianist, and actor. He graduated from Loyola University New Orleans in 1988 with a degree in music.
  • Ellis Marsalis Jr. is a jazz pianist and educator. He is considered one of the premier pianists in modern jazz. Marsalis graduated from Loyola University New Orleans in 1957 with a degree in music education.
  • Sean O'Keefe served as the 10th administrator of NASA from 2001 to 2005. He also served as Secretary of the Navy from 1996 to 2001. 
  • Norman Francis was the longest-serving president of a historically black college or university in the United States. He served as president of Xavier University of Louisiana from 1968 to 2015. 
  • Tom Benson was a businessman, philanthropist, and sports franchise owner. He owned the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL) from 1985 to 2018 and the New Orleans Pelicans of the National Basketball Association (NBA) from 2012 to 2018.
