The NSF Scholarship Programme is designed for students of academic excellence pursuing postgraduate studies at prestigious institutions in India or abroad. It is a merit-based scholarship, awarded to a select few, who meet the high standards defined by the Foundation.

NSF Scholarship Programme Eligibility Criteria

  • Indian nationals, residing in India.
  • Applicants below 30 years of age
  • Graduates of an accredited Indian University (students in the final year of the degree course, or those awaiting results are also eligible)
  • Applicants planning to pursue Master’s, PhD degree at top ranking institutions starting Fall semester
  • Applicants who have applied and waiting on their acceptance from the university are also eligible to apply but the award of scholarship is subject to securing admission

How to Apply for NSF Scholarship Programme

Applications

Once successfully registered, the applicant must log in using the email address and password created during the registration process.

Applicant to make the payment of Rs.500/- online in order the access the application form. Registration fees are non-refundable.

Applicant to fill the details in ‘Full Application Part 1-2-3’ and submit the form.
Note : An automated confirmation email will be sent to the registered email address.

Applicants shortlisted for the next phase of the selection process will be required to upload the requested documents.

Shortlisted candidates will need to attend interviews, which will be scheduled between April and June 2025.

Selected scholars will also be required to attend an Orientation Programme in July 2025. Attendance is mandatory for both the interviews and the Orientation Programme.

Who Can Apply for NSF Scholarship Programme

Final-year undergraduates, graduates, working professionals, and postgraduates can apply.

Documents Required for NSF Scholarship Programme

  • Attested copies of the mark sheets of all years of the under-graduate study and post-graduate study, if any
  • Attested copies of score cards of any qualifying examination taken. (E.g. GRE, GMAT, CAT, GATE, etc.)
  • University Acceptance letter with the fee structure
  • Reference Letters
  • Any document indicating an award of any other funding, scholarship, fee waiver, etc.
  • Latest Income Tax Returns of parents
  • Attested copy of the passport
