Which university is better

I have the below 2 admits
Rutgers - New Brunswick (MS CS)
ASU MS IT
Which should I choose? And why?

Hi,

Coursework is of utmost importance here. So make sure you check the courses offered by these schools primarily focus on whether the courses offered align with your goals or interests. CS will make you eligible for all kind of roles in tech be it in Software Engg or Product Management. However, with IT you are allowed to apply for only subset of roles. Plus IT is not recognized an equivalent to CS.

Rutgers is world class when it comes to Computer Science and Data Science. R1 research school so the quality of research being done and projects is top notch. Rutgers is highly reputated for the said programs. Professors are great and really dedicated to teaching. Its in new jersey so living expenses is less compared to nyc plus the proximity to nyc is a really good factor. The batch strength at Rutgers MS CS is less so lot of opportunities for on campus jobs.

Rutgers outperforms the other program. Rankings too Rutgers is a clear winner. My suggestion will be to go for Rutgers keeping in mind the ROI, Academics, location, quality, research output, reputation, selectivity/acceptance rate, on campus opportunities in the form of assitantships and part time jobs and other crucial factors.

MS CS at Rutgers is a very good option and overall course wise, CS is better than IT
