How much does work experience matter to universities for masters ?

I have done my graduation in Mechanical Engineering. But I look to do Masters in Data Science related courses. Which courses and universities should I look for?

Since pure Data Science courses will hard to get admit into because of my background not related to the field

I'm a fresh Graduate with an Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration. I do not have substantial work ex but have internship experience in Marketing. I have admits from US universities for MS in Marketing (STEM).
