UIUC MEng ECE vs UCSD MS ECE

Hi all. My primary priority is to get a job in computer architecture after graduation. UIUC has amazing reputation for computer architecture and good coursework. But I will not be able to do research. And no funding also. UCSD on the other hand is not that competitive but has location advantage for companies like Qualcomm. Have the option to do thesis. 50% likely to get funded from TA/RA. And Uiuc coursework will most probably complete in 18months. What would u choose?
