Hi guys,
Does your work experience have to be pertinent to the field of masters you want to pursue?
If yes, to what extent?
I want to pursue MS in MIS(management information systems)/ Business Intelligence and Data Analytics. I have a total of 2 years and 4 months experience, most of which comprises of coding experience and only 8 month in analytics.
How should I make my SOP and LOR relevant to Analytics, when most of my work applause comes from Coding experience?
I definitely cannot lie about my experience, since my LORs are from people under whom i worked as a developer. And these are the best people(seniors, clients whose account is valuable) by whom i can be recommended. Also, what ever you mention in SOP should be fool proofed by your LORs.
Since universities consider profiles whose SOP and LOR is relevant to the field in which they want to pursue the masters. I am confused how to prepare my SOP in accordance. Because, my LOR would speak, I am a good coder, while in SOP i want to mention that I am good analyst.
