Hello everyone!
I would really appreciate it if somebody can evaluate my profile and recommend some good universities for sending my applications for MS to. I'll be applying at the end of this year.
GRE 331 : Q 170 V 161
TOEFL: 114
CGPA: 8.81 Electronics and Electrical Engineering
IIT Guwahati
Work Ex at time of Applications ~ 16 months at a research team working on latest ML and CV applications and research in Samsung Bangalore. The team mostly focuses on creating solutions that leverage deep learning for mobile devices.
2 Research Internships in Machine Learning/Deep Learning (One in Tohoku University, Japan and one in KAIST, South Korea)
No Research Papers published till now, one is in progress but will be not be submitted to a conference before December.
I have projects in vanilla ML, Deep Learning, Image Processing and Optimization on handheld devices. Some of them include Real-Time object detection in images, Action Recognition in Images, Human-object interaction recognition and optimizing deep learning models to run efficiently on mobiles. A large chunk of my work at Samsung has been commercialized in it's flagship products.
I should be able to write a good SOP but I'll only have one academic LOR. I am looking to get 2 LORs from Samsung, since my managers are PhDs.
I would be applying for ECE/Electronics.
