I have been to US on my old US B1/B2 visa in around 2008.
That visa got expired in 2013 and then i appeared for the interview again and then got a new B1/B2 visa but i didn't go to US after that. 
Will it be a problem during my visa interview ?

And my father is sponsoring me and most of the funds are in his current account and very few funds in the savings account.Will there be any problem ?

I don't think so, you can say you renewed with the intention of going on a holiday in future. At least the interviewer will have an impression that you've been to the US. It does matter a lot.
