Question

Hello Everyone I am pursuing btech in electrical and electronics i wanted to apply for masters  for 2024 fall in information system or meng. Currently i am planning to go into research work and write a research paper ..it would  be very helpful if someone can help me in getting my profile stronger ..like how should i make my profile stronger to stand out from the crowd.

Hi Manish!

First of all, congrats on starting your journey early!

While doing your BTech there are a few things you can work on to add advantage to your profile:

1. Volunteer at a few events: This adds social points when you add it in your SOP, also is a lot of fun! Don't miss out on taking opportunities to showcase your leadership skills.

2. Try to present papers in journals: If you are planning to pursue a thesis based masters, it would be advantageous for you if you have a few published papers. Start with Local journals and try to get them published in international ones. Also, try to attend conferences wherein you can showcase your research papers.

3.  Research your country, university and reach out to people who are already there: This shows the professors who would end up choosing you, that you are very much interested in the university and your field. Reach out to them on LinkedIn, start a conversation. (Don't be disheartened if a few won't reply, Keep pursuing and you will find one who does!)
