WBS Scholarships Eligibility Criteria

WBS Scholarships are available to the most talented candidates from all over the world.

You will automatically be considered for a WBS Scholarship upon submitting your course application. Please be aware if you are looking to study one of MBA, Executive Diploma programmes or the MSc Global Central Banking and Financial Regulation, you will need to provide a written statement outlining why you believe you should be awarded a scholarship. School recommend that you check the individual programme page for eligibility criteria and deadline information.

How to Apply for WBS Scholarships

One Academic or Professional Reference 

You must supply one academic or professional reference, your referee can know you on either an academic or professional level.
Once you have paid your application fee, university will email your referee inviting them to submit a reference for you online. It is your responsibility to ensure that your reference has been submitted.

Personal Statement

  • This is your opportunity to share any achievements and ambitions you have; university want to understand how a WBS MSc course will help you to develop both personally and professionally, so please avoid repeating information from your CV.
  • Key areas to cover in your Personal Statement include:
    • Why have you selected this course? What are your motivating factors?
    • How do you see the course benefitting your career plans?
    • What will you contribute to your cohort?
  • Personal Statements should be approximately 1-2 pages. It must be in English and in your own words.

CV

  • You are required to submit a CV as part of the application process. Your CV should contain the following information:
    • Your educational background
    • Your employment history
    • Any volunteering experience
    • Any extra-curricular activities, hobbies and interests. 

Who Can Apply for WBS Scholarships

Please be aware if you are looking to study one of MBA, Executive Diploma programmes or the MSc Global Central Banking and Financial Regulation, you will need to provide a written statement outlining why you believe you should be awarded a scholarship.

For other courses, there is no need to apply, and you will automatically be considered for a WBS Scholarship upon submitting your course application.
