The Pemanda Monappa Scholarship is available to Masters applicants from India in the following subjects: 

  • Biological Sciences (excluding Medicine and Veterinary Medicine)
  • Computer Science
  • Economics
  • English Literature
  • Law
  • Physical Sciences
  • Technology

It is tenable at any College of the University of Cambridge.

 

Pemanda Monappa Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should have a close connection with one of the following States:

  • Andhra Pradesh
  • Karnataka
  • Kerala
  • Tamil Nadu

A close connection is defined as having completed a first degree at a recognized university in one of those States, or having been born in one of those States, or having completed the larger part of their school education in one of those States.

How to Apply for Pemanda Monappa Scholarship

No separate application is required for this scholarship, only the application for admission to the University of Cambridge, which must be submitted by the funding deadline specific to your course (please refer to the Postgraduate Course Directory)

References
  • You will be asked to provide details of 2 referees when you apply.
Transcripts
  • A transcript is an official summary of your academic record and the marks you have obtained to date. 
  • You will need to provide academic transcripts and certificates for each degree you have taken.  
  • If you are currently studying, you can provide an interim or unofficial transcript in your application. University will need a copy of the final transcript if university make you an offer. 

Personal Statement

  • A personal statement or statement of interest should describe your relevant skills, experience, academic achievements and motivation for applying to your chosen course.
  • If you wish to draw attention to personal circumstances that have affected your academic or other performance, it is important that you do so here. If your application is unsuccessful, it will not be possible to make an appeal based on these circumstances.
