According to current indian system if you complete your bachelor's degree you will receive Consolidated Memo along with degree certificate and consolidated memo contains your courses marks as grade point average(GPA). Average of all the GPA's is called Cumulative Grade point average(CGPA).
Here CGPA 5.5 or above means you should have CGPA above or equal to 5.5 to qualify for application.
