The University of Regensburg is a public university, situated in Regensburg, Bavaria. The university was founded in 1962. It became the fourth full-fledged university in Bavaria. The University of Regensburg is located in Regensburg, Bavaria. Regensburg is a city that is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Regensburg is the fourth-largest city in the State of Bavaria. The city comprises of the largest medieval old town north of the Alps with nearly 1,500 listed buildings and a picturesque cityscape. Its most famous sights and tourist centers are located mainly in the Old Town. The city houses 20 museums. For instance, the Regensburg Museum of History showcases the history, culture, and arts of Regensburg and Eastern Bavaria from Stone Age to present. The Regensburg Theater is the most important theatre in the city. Operas, operettas, musicals, and ballets are shown. In summer, open-air performances are performed as well. Regensburg's economy has become part of the most dynamic and fastest growing in Germany. The focus has been placed on manufacturing industries, such as automotive, industrial and electrical engineering. Campus

The University of Regensburg is situated entirely on one central campus. The university has different structures for or eleven faculties. The lecture rooms are well equipped with the necessary lecture tools needed. The research centers and laboratories are equipped with all the necessary materials needed for extensive research. The university library houses a number of books and publications needed by the students or lecturers for extensive reading and research.

Residing Options

The University of Regensburg has student dormitories which are overseen by the student administration division. All application for accommodation is made through the student administration. For international students, The International Office will help you find accommodation. If one cannot be found, advice will be given to you on how to find one. The university has adapted to the requirements of the disabled as far as possible and accommodation of the same standard is available. Student residences which cater to students with special needs are in close proximity to the campus as well as the city center itself.
