University of Southern Queensland: Acceptance Rate, Fees & Courses

Queensland is known for the wide availability of public and private transport. Students can easily commute to their destinations by using public vehicles such as buses and cabs or renting private cars. For students owning personal bikes, traveling is easier. All USQ faculty and students can access the inter-campus shuttle bus service between USQ Ipswich, USQ Springfield, and USQ Toowoomba -free of cost.

Student services

Academic Board, the principal advisory committee to Council on academic matters, is worried about monitoring the University's faculties' educational activities and the promotion and encouragement of teaching, scholarship, and research. Underpinning this can be the role of educational policy development and review. A variety of standing committees support Academic Board.

Housing services

Toowoomba: Our Resident Colleges are situated on-premise at USQ Toowoomba. Whether you want the whole package, including meals, or just want to share a kitchen, USQ Institutional Colleges provides an excellent university experience.

Springfield: The Learning City Residential Village is a nice residential community located approximately 100 meters from USQ Springfield. The stylish four to seven-bedroom townhomes come completely furnished and equipped with appliances. Hive provides and manages the Education City Housing Village autonomously on behalf of Education City.

Ipswich: The USQ Ipswich university provides off-campus privately owned and operated housing.

The University of Southern Queensland has four campuses, and they are: 

• Toowoomba University of Queensland (USQ) -More than 4000 students attend USQ's founding campus, located in Australia's largest inland city.

• Springfield, USQ -Education City is located just over 30 minutes from Brisbane's CBD and an hour from the Gold Coast.

• Ipswich USQ -The hotel lies in Ipswich, Queensland's oldest provincial city, and is only 55 minutes from Brisbane's CBD and 1 hour and 15 minutes from Toowoomba.

• @Stanthorpe, USQ Hub -The Queensland College of Wine Tourism is located 140 kilometers (about 2 hours) south of Toowoomba.

Facilities for sports

Each campus's Works health and recreation club has a large free weights room, a large cardio space, a skills zone area, a creche, a range of classes, and Personal Trainers to help with fitness and health concerns.

Clubs for students

Clubs and societies are an important component of USQ student life, bringing together varied groups and creating possibilities for current students. Each of our clubs serves a specific purpose, and there's a good chance one of them is focused on something you're interested in. You can not only make wonderful friends, capture lasting memories, and have a good time by joining one of the many groups available, but you can also develop skills that will help you advance your profession.

The main campus of USQ is in Toowoomba, with satellite campuses in Ipswich and Springfield. The main campus consists of administrative, academic, and support buildings and roads, parking lots, and green spaces. The Gumbi Gumbi Gardens, which cover 5.4 acres and are adjacent to the campus's main entrance on the northern side, have over 100 plant species. The Japanese Garden, which includes a mountain stream, waterfall, center lake, Azalea Hill, and around 3-kilometer pathways, is also located on campus. 

Each has a variety of dining options that serve nutritious and delectable meals and beverages. An aerobics center, a theatre, a high-tech gymnasium, a bookshop, a tennis center, a daycare center, a post office, a Heritage Bank branch, Olympic-standard basketball courts, and netball courts are among the other amenities. The inter-campus shuttle service provided by USQ is available to both students and faculty.
