The Women in Engineering (WiE) Scholarship is a distinguished program run by RWTH Aachen University, one of Germany's premier universities of technology. It is designed to reward and support outstanding female international students from all over the world and enable them to pursue a master’s degree in engineering at RWTH Aachen University. If you have the academic excellence and the ambition to become a leader in the field of engineering, this scholarship gives you the opportunity to develop professionally and academically while becoming part of a network dedicated to empowering women in tech.
The scholarship was created to promote gender equality among international students in English-taught Master’s degree programs in engineering. The awarding of the scholarship is dependent on the availability of financial capital from the RWTH International Academy student fund, and please note that there is no legal basis for students to claim it.
For the 2025–2026 academic year, the application deadline is 1 March 2026. This guide will walk international students through every step of the process, including eligibility criteria, how to apply, details of the funding, the paperwork required, and the selection timeline. You can be fully prepared to make the most of this opportunity to study at a world-class engineering university in Germany.
