The Aumund Foundation was founded by Franz-Walter Aumund in 2019 and recognized as an independent non-profit foundation by the Düsseldorf District Government on May 29, 2019. Since then, based on its detailed foundation statutes, it has supported projects in the fields of science and research, education and training, and health. Project implementation primarily takes place abroad.
The Aumund Foundation operates as a grant-making foundation and fulfills its mission in close cooperation with selected funding partners. Together with its partners, it develops projects that meet current local needs and maintains close communication throughout the entire project .

Prof. Heinrich Aumund Scholarship Program Coverage
Scholarship duration
The scholarship is awarded for one year at a time; an annual extension until the end of the standard period of study can be granted upon submission of a report and endorsement by a supervising university professor. Extensions beyond the standard period of study require a specific justification.
Scholarship benefits
The scholarships provide up to 930 euros per month for living expenses. The scholarship is paid in 12 installments. The scholarship is also paid for a study stay abroad for a period of up to one semester (6 months). Upon special request, additional grants can be awarded for participation in workshops, conferences, congresses, or summer schools. Participation with your own contributions (lecture, poster, etc. ) and in an international environment is particularly encouraged. For Bachelor's and Master's theses that require special effort ( e.g., due to stays abroad), additional benefits can be granted upon request.

Applications are open to students of Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering at Department 1 and Mechanical Engineering at Department 2 of the Berlin University of Applied Sciences.
Students in bachelor's programs (after the first year of study) and master's programs are eligible. Scholarships are awarded based on proven outstanding academic performance.
Social commitment beyond academic performance, as well as social aspects, will be considered in the selection of scholarship recipients.
