Westcliff University (WU), a private, for-profit institution located in Irvine, California, was established in 1993. The university offers a variety of academic programs, including bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees, alongside certificate programs and continuing education courses. 

Originally founded with an emphasis on online education in business and education, Westcliff University expanded its reach in 2019 by acquiring Western State College of Law. This acquisition broadened WU's academic offerings and strengthened its presence in legal education.

Campus

In 2018, the university relocated to a new campus within the Von Karman Creative Campus area in Irvine, California. This move significantly expanded the campus, increasing its size to more than four times that of the previous facility. The new location features a central building that houses classrooms, faculty offices, administrative services, and study areas. 

Additionally, there is a multipurpose building used for athletics, recreation, career fairs, and various events. In 2020, the university moved again, this time to the nearby Intersect Campus area in Irvine. Westcliff also offers in-person classes at Plaza Tower in Cerritos, California.
