While Columbia is a famous town in itself, but it is not that crowded as much as its popularity is. The only attraction this town holds is the University of Missouri and its architectural beauty. The town is so small that it makes you feel like living in the university ever if you are staying off-campus.

Residing Options

Well at Columbia there is no point living off campus as it is just few meter away from the campus and rules applied are the same everywhere, so privacy gained would be similar everywhere. The housing cost can be 6,000 to 8,000 US$ for single occupancy and 5,000 to 6,000 US$ for double which does not include meal. Meal plans are on the basis of the kind of food you prefer. Mind you that foreign food might get a little expensive.

Professors at MU can be compared to one of the best in US. There are high chances that you might end up learning from a Noble prize nominee or attend a guest lecture at least. The only issue that might concern you is strictness. The university follows a lot of rules and asks their professor to do the same. If you are a ‘wind in my hair’ person and like to live free then this is definitely not the university for you.

Jobs and placements

If you are at MU then there is a 90% chance that you will get placed somewhere by the end of the year and that wholly depends on how you kept your repo with teachers. Teachers hold a good ‘last decision’ power and you cannot change it if your behavior has offended them in any way.
