University of Detroit Mercy: Acceptance Rate, Fees & Courses

In the Detroit metropolitan area, transportation is supplied through a network of highways, airports, and transit systems that connect the city of Detroit and the surrounding area. The region's network of highways and main roads is managed by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT).

Through a cooperative service and fare agreement managed by the Regional Transit Authority, the region offers mass transit with bus services supplied jointly by the Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) and the Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation (SMART) (RTA). Transit Windsor operates the Tunnel Bus to offer cross-border service between the downtowns of Windsor and Detroit. Nearby stops are: Livernois & Grove - 3 minutes walk

one of the earliest in the nation in 1965 was the Urban Law Clinic at the University of Detroit. It has won multiple honors, most notably the Judy M. Weightman Memorial Public Interest Award from the ABA Law Student Division in 2006 and the Louis M. Brown Award for Legal Access.

• Infrastructure and Education

Seven colleges and schools make up the University of Detroit Mercy: the College of Business Administration, the School of Dentistry, the College of Engineering & Science, the McAuley School of Nursing, the School of Law, and the College of Liberal Arts & Education.

The McNichols Campus, The Riverfront Campus, and The Corktown Campus are the university's three locations in Detroit.

Ninety-seven percent of all full-time undergraduate students get financial help, which the university offers in addition to delivering high-quality education to its students. To get more students to consider Detroit Mercy a viable choice, the institution has reduced its advertised annual tuition cost from RS 3274358.40 to RS 2236147.20.

• Career Opportunities and Exposures

One of the country’s oldest co-op and internship programs is at Detroit Mercy, and several academic programs require internships with metro Detroit businesses, many of which are in the care sector. Their architecture maintains two distinctive study abroad programs, in which students reside and learn about historic European towns.

For students with disabilities who require alternate housing and meal arrangements, the University of Detroit Mercy offers housing and meal plan accommodations.

Most of disabled kids can have their rooms modified, and even staff members can receive special training to suit the needs of each particular student. Disability Support Services handles all requests for housing modifications.

Disability Support Services, which manages the requirements of students with disabilities across all university departments, is asked to be contacted by residents with impairments.

The Office of Residence Life will receive suggestions from Disability Support Services on how to best meet the requirements of each particular student. A single room, the requested building, or a roommate is not guaranteed housing accommodations.
