How to Apply at Wisconsin School of Business

Undergraduate Admissions

Prospective undergraduate students aiming to join the Wisconsin School of Business (WSB) can apply through two primary pathways:

  • Direct Admission: High school seniors apply via the UW–Madison Office of Admissions by the specified deadlines. Applicants are automatically considered for direct admission to the business school based on their academic credentials.

  • Pre-Business Admission: Current UW–Madison students can apply for admission to the business school after completing prerequisite courses in communications, calculus, economics, and psychology. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required at the time of application and must be maintained through the end of the application term.

Graduate Admissions

Applicants to the Full-Time MBA program must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. International applicants should possess the equivalent of a four-year U.S. bachelor's degree.

Visa Requirements

International students admitted to UW–Madison must obtain an F-1 or J-1 student visa. To facilitate this, students are required to submit proof of funding for one full year of study. Scholarships

WSB offers various scholarships for both undergraduate and graduate students:

  • Undergraduate Scholarships: Nearly $2 million in scholarships are awarded annually. High school applicants are automatically considered based on their UW–Madison application.
