The University of Trier is a public tertiary institution in the Deutschland city of Trier. It was established in the year 1473. Presently, the university has a total of six faculties with about 470 faculty members. International students may apply to study in any of the faculties. As a matter of fact, foreign students make up 15.5% of the total population of students. Unlike other technical and scientific schools in Germany, Trier focused more on philosophy and theology. In rankings, the university is among the best 210 schools nationally.
