Founded in 1966 for the purpose of higher education, Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology is located in the port city of Hamilton in Ontario. Funded and accredited by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities, it is one of the members of the ACCC (Association of Community Colleges of Canada).

The Stoney Creek Campus is one of the four locations of Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology, the other three being City School, Institute for Applied Health Sciences and Fennell Campus. Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology is well connected to other parts of Ontario. The college is easily accessible by the Hamilton Street Railway.
