The University of British Columbia's Library supports the development of undergraduate students into prospective researchers and houses the essential academic resources for graduate students and teachers.
The 519-acre UBC Okanagan campus is situated in the stunning Okanagan Valley and has an international student population of 18% from more than 100 countries.
The Commons building at UBC Okanagan significantly impacts how visitors, faculty, staff, and students interact with one another and the University. Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Principal Deborah Buszard referred to the Commons as a "transformative building for University of British Columbia Okanagan."
Nine residential sections are under the management of Student Housing and Hospitality Services on the Okanagan campus. Most first-year undergraduate students are assigned to one of the following residences: Cassiar, Nicola, Purcell, Kalamalka, Valhalla, Nechako, Skeena, or Similkameen Place.
These residences feature single furnished rooms, lively common areas for snacking and socializing, and lots of space for quiet study sessions.
