Transportation in the city

To GTA cities, Go Transit is a long-distance carrier. Buses, luxurious diesel trains, and two-story electric trains are all part of this transit system. The cost of this carrier is among the highest, although using public transportation might result in significant savings.


Services offered by the university

It has great academic, residential, and recreational amenities and top-notch infrastructure. 

  • A wide-ranging student support network is well-trained and available to offer help, advice, counseling, or a much-needed listening ear.
  • primary healthcare, health promotion and protection, information on disease and injury prevention, and emotional counseling are all provided through Health & Wellness Services.
  • A student-run organization called the Laurentian Campus Emergency Response Team is available to respond to any medical emergency on the Sudbury Campus. 
  • All of the volunteers are Laurentian University students who have received First Responder CPR HCP training. 
  • LUCERT has worked with security to aid in any emergency on campus.
  • Students who have registered with the university's accessibility services office can use research and library services at the library. Dan Scott serves as the accessibility services liaison librarian.
  • For daily use by students enrolled with Accessibility Services, the library offers three private study rooms (each for one person).

On campus accomodation at Laurentian University

Eight distinctive houses at Laurentian University give students a wide range of options for on-campus living, and first-year candidates have assured a place in residence.

 This is the description of various housing available:

  • 240 students can be housed in the eleven-story University College Residence (UC), a classic dormitory design.
  • 387 students can stay in a three-story structure with self-contained apartments (apartments that sleep four to six people) at the Single Student Residence (SSR). 24/7 security and assistance.
  • Upper-year students who meet the credit or age requirements can live in 55 furnished, independent apartments in the six-story, air-conditioned West Residence (West), which can house 223 students.
  • Upper-year students who meet the credit or age requirements may live in the 62 furnished, independent apartments on the first floor of the eleven-story East Residence (East) building, which has a capacity of 236 students.
  • Upper-year students can live independently furnished flats in the recently rebuilt Mature Student Residence (MSR), an 11-story structure. There are 128 units that provide one-bedroom apartments.
  • Laurentian University's accommodation fee is CAD 10,172 (INR 6,22,124).
