• Barriers to participation in university courses and activities may exist for students with impairments. 
• The Disability Resource Center aims to make sure that children with impairments, such as those who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Blind or Visually Impaired, have a Specific Learning/Intellectual Disability, ADHD/ADD, PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury, or Physical Disability, have equitable chances.
• All first-year, full-time students at Lamar University are required to live on campus. A first-year student is going through a lot of change at LU, which offers students important living-learning opportunities.
