The Kiel University of Applied Science was founded in 1969 as a University of Applied Sciences. It is one of three public higher education institutions in Kiel, Germany. Kiel University of Applied Sciences was founded due to the merger of several state-run engineering and technical colleges and has demonstrated educational achievement for over 100 years. It is the biggest institution in Schleswig-Holstein, with the main campus overlooking the Kiel firth.
