Established in 1967, the Barry campus of the Georgian College is the largest in a four seasons playground. A quick trip away from the world's longest freshwater beaches, multiple skiing in snow resorts, and beautiful lakes, the college provides full-time programs for bachelor's graduate programs and postgraduate degrees along with continuing education.

College of applied arts and technology in industrial the Georgian College accelerated its success through exceptional teaching and learning. Welcoming more than 13,000 students annually, the Canadian Association of cooperative education has accredited about 4000 international students to the co-op education programs of the college.

Transportation in the city

The college has various transportation facilities for its students and staff. A GO train service to Toronto, a free shuttle between Orillia and Barrie campus by Hammond transportation, and the Barrie transit operates various municipal bus services on campus. 

Additionally, students having a private car can get a monthly pass to park their vehicles on campus.

Moreover, the U pass/transit fee provides the students at the Barrie campus unlimited access to the city transit system during the semesters. The students tap the one car on the bus fare box to validate the pass and can travel between various areas of the city downtown and campus.

The Barrie campus has a train service to Toronto. Hammond transportation services offer a shuttle between Orillia and Barrie.
