In addition, the university transformed into an applied science university in 1971. Aalen University is a renowned university with 5 different faculties: the faculty of electronics and computer science, the faculty of management and business science, the faculty of chemistry, the faculty of mechanical engineering and material technology, and the faculty of optics and mechatronics.
