BGE Dean’s Excellence Merit Scholarship: Eligibility, Deadline & How to Apply

The BGE Dean’s Excellence Merit Scholarship is awarded to eligible master’s students who demonstrate outstanding academic promise based on their verified undergraduate GPA (or MCAT score for SMP students). 

Dean’s Excellence Scholars receive a scholarship of up to $21,000 to apply toward their first-semester tuition costs.

Students starting in the Fall semester receive half of the scholarship funds in the Fall semester and the other half in the Spring semester. Students starting in the Spring semester receive all funds in their first semester.

The Dean’s Excellence Merit Scholarship is awarded to newly admitted students in Georgetown University Biomedical Graduate Education master’s degree programs who:

• Submit an application for admission to an eligible master’s program (not including the Special Master’s Program) by the final deadline of July 1 for Fall admission or November 1 for Spring admission.
• Have a verified undergraduate GPA (US 4.0 grading scale) as listed below.
• International applicants must submit a credential evaluation (the verified GPA from the credential evaluation must be within the ranges of the verified undergraduate GPAs).
• Remain registered as a full-time student.
• There is no separate application for the Dean’s Excellence Merit Scholarship. 

The Dean’s Excellence Merit Scholarship is awarded to newly admitted students in the Georgetown University Biomedical Graduate Education Special Master’s Program in Physiology & Biophysics who:

• Submit an application for admission to the Special Master’s Program by the July 1 final deadline.
• Have a verified MCAT score as listed below. 
• Remain registered as a full-time student.
• There is no separate application for the Dean’s Excellence Merit Scholarship.

There is no application for this scholarship; all program applicants will be considered. BGE staff review program applicants’ qualifications and award scholarships on a rolling basis to those who have been admitted to the program.

The Dean’s Excellence Merit Scholarship is awarded to newly admitted students in Georgetown University Biomedical Graduate Education master’s degree programs.
